What is the 5x1000?
The 5×1000 refers to a portion of the IRPEF tax (Italian income tax), which the Italian state allocates to organizations that carry out socially relevant activities. The payment is at the discretion of the taxpayer and is made when submitting the income tax declaration. Every taxpayer who makes a choice directs 5% of their actual taxes to the organization they select, so it is not an additional donation.
How can you allocate it?
In the tax return form (730, CU, Unico), you will find the section for the CHOICE FOR THE DESTINATION OF THE FIVE PER MILLE OF IRPEF. Sign and enter the AGAPE ETS tax code 96.32.93.90.585 in the section for “Support for volunteering and other non-profit organizations of social utility, associations for social promotion, etc.” For more information, ask your CAF (tax assistance center) or your accountant.
